In addition to the exhibition inspired by a poem “He flies towards beehive“ by Juhan Liiv, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty, Embassy of Poland decided to organize a competition “Small homelands” for the Estonian designers on beehives. Erkki Naumanis, a beekeeper from Tallinn, tells us how the beehive operates, what to keep in mind in designing the beehive, if shapes and colours are matters of importance for bees and other things what might be vital for the participants of the competition.
